Good isn’t Easy!

I recently saw this quote,

"We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be.” - C.S. Lewis

God truly understands what we need, all we need to do is trust him. As the quote implies sometimes the best thing for us is not always the easiest or most comfortable, sometimes there is pain associated. God never promised an easy life, but if we set aside sin and attempt to be like Christ we can experience abundant life, a life that is full of hope and inexplicable joy! A hope and a joy that is louder and stronger than the pain of this world! So trust in the Lord, and get ready to experience not an easy or pain-free life but an abundant one!

Things are moving and grooving here at the Bible Chair! Although labor day slowed things down just a bit things have picked back up! We leave for our Blue Haven retreat on Friday the 23rd and then on October 2nd we will be traveling to one of our other supporting congregations! So although you may not see as many buffs at church for the next couple of weeks just know we are staying busy and really enjoying the semester so far! Your prayers are appreciated!
