Come As You Are

Someone shared an article with me last week and I wanted to share a brief section of it here.

"If you’re just showing up at church on Sundays to sing the songs and say the ‘amens’ and eat and drink the Lord’s Supper and then you’re out the door and in your car and back home and nothing changes… If you come to church “just as I am” and you leave “just as you were” and nothing changes… That is NOT the life Jesus died on the cross to give you."

A couple of weeks ago, the BFC students voted on a theme for the 2022-23 school year. The theme that Buffs for Christ will continue with this year is "Come as you are". The students really wanted to make the Bible Chair a welcoming environment for students to come as they are. My hope is similar, I hope that students who are searching for something see the Bible Chair as a place they can come and hear the truth that is in God's word and feel the love of the Lord as we walk in community with them on this campus. More importantly, I hope that the lives of students are genuinely changed by the Gospel of Christ. I ask that you be praying for the Bible Chair, the students (both new and returning), and the campus of WT. That it is a place where the Gospel can continually be shared freely and a place where the kingdom of God continues to flourish
